“Our Lord! Grant us the good of this world and the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”

Read the verses first and then come back for an understanding of what it means and what lessons can be taken away from them.

Qualities of the Disbelievers V6-7

The disbelievers are those whom persist in disbelief, whether you warn them or not. There hearts are closed due to there denial once they recognised the truth. However, you may question that if everything is known to Allah and predestined then why don't we get straight to the results? Would a teacher give you a pass on your driving without observing you during the test? Clearly not. Same applies with our lives we live in this dunya. Also those whom will reside in the pits of hellfire will have proof shown against them. Similarly, those whom warned them will have proof that they did ask. A great example of this is in Surah Al Araf. The story of the sabbath breakers.

The quality of the believer is one that was discussed in V1-5. Hence disbelief is not just a disbelieving in Allah, but it is the rejection or part rejection of that which the Prophet SAW had brought.

If I have made any mistakes, may Allah have mercy on me and guide us all on the right path, Ameen.
